What do people in Columbia rent porta potties for?

Columbia renters mostly call about plant outage crews, river and landing events, or historic town events. Those jobs differ in crowd size, length and access, so each gets its own setup, described below with the Columbia details that matter.

Plant outage crews

Refueling outages at the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant bring in large contractor crews. A crew of 150 needs at least 4 toilets plus 4 urinals under OSHA Table D-1 (1 seat and 1 urinal per 40). Many crews add units and service visits for 10-hour shifts.

River and landing events

Fishing tournaments and gatherings at river landings have little or no plumbing. Plan one standard unit per 50 people for a few hours.

Historic town events

Columbia was the Henry County seat until 1833 and keeps a small historic downtown. Community events there need units staged on a lot near the crowd.

Which Columbia neighborhoods and areas do you serve?

Every part of Columbia gets the same portable toilet rental terms, whether the unit goes to Downtown Columbia, Farley Nuclear Plant area or out near Chattahoochee River. Tell dispatch the nearest cross street or a GPS pin, and note any gate code, soft ground or low limbs on the way in.

Which unit fits a Columbia rental?

Permits and placement in Columbia

Most Columbia rentals sit on private land and need no permit at all. Ask Columbia City Hall before placing a unit on a street or public lot, and ask Houston County about county right-of-way. Event organizers should confirm restroom counts with the permit office.

Alabama requires portable toilets to meet the ANSI/PSAI Z4.3 standard and to be pumped by a certified pumper (Ala. Admin. Code r. 420-3-1-.29). Every unit we place is serviced on that basis. County contact: Houston County official website.
